JOEY AYALA's LECTURE-PERFORMANCE A SUCCESS

Poet and musician Joey Ayala was the featured guest of the UP Creative Writing Center for its Living Voice in Conversation series last January 24 at Balay Kalinaw.  Ayala, who performed his songs and spoke of his experience as a writer and musician in between numbers, is currently the National Fellow for Poetry and Songwriting of the UP CWC. The Living Voice in Conversation series provides a venue for both National and Local Fellows of the UP CWC to discuss their writing with an audience composed of mostly UP students and faculty members. Ayala’s “mini-concert” is the first of three talks to be held this semester.
